Titiro Whakamua offers a range of NCEA subjects at Level 1, 2 and 3. These can be with Kaiako (teachers) on site, or online through Te Kura Pounamu and other providers. An individual programme is set for each ākonga (student) depending on their previous achievements and future plans.
Ākonga can also study STAR courses, specifically designed for secondary school through polytechnics or private training providers, e.g. Early Childhood Education, Retail, & Travel and Tourism, as well as taster courses through Trades Academy. Other short courses such as First Aid and Barista, are available throughout the year.
Titiro Whakamua Early Childhood Education Centre is a fully licensed centre on site. This provides a nurturing environment and promotes wellbeing, belonging and quality learning experiences for pēpi and tamariki while their mamas are focusing on their mahi. Hot lunches are provided for the Tamariki aged 7 months and up. Mamas returning from maternity leave have the option of keeping pēpi in the classroom initially.
